Important tips

·      Once you have generated Unicode Tamil (Hindi, etc.) text using Azhagi's in-built Unicode editor, you can copy/paste the Tamil (Hindi, etc.) text to any external application/window like Gmail, Outlook Express, Blogs, Skype, Facebook, Online groups (e.g. http://groups.google.com/group/azhagi), etc.

·      If the pasted text does not appear correctly in certain applications like MS-Word, Notepad etc., then Unicode might have to be enabled fully in your WinXP system. To get to know how to enable Unicode fully in WinXP systems, please visit azhagi.com/uniset.html#top.

·      You can press F8 (or click on 'File->Open Draft') from within Azhagi's Unicode editor to open an already existing 'Drafts' file in which you can keep typing/saving your thoughts and ideas as and when they occur. This will be very useful for people who wish to quickly jot down their random thoughts/ideas.

·      TSCu_SaiIndira is a Unicode font. Along with Tscii, it supports Unicode also. It is a bi-encoded font.

·      You can find an useful tool called 'Unicode Fonts Lister' under 'Tools' menu.

·      This tool easily identifies and classifies (according to major Indian languages) all the Unicode fonts in your system.

·      The information thus provided by this tool will be useful in a variety of ways. For instances:

·      It can help you to  identify Unicode fonts which until this time you were not aware that they are Unicode fonts.

·      It can help you to delete Unicode fonts which you are not using regularly.

·      It can help you to determine whether you need to download more Unicode fonts for any particular language.

·      You can do SAT transliteration - whereby you can type your Tanglish word and press 'space', '?', etc. to see the equivalent Tamil word get generated. To activate SAT mode, click on 'Tools->Options' menu item in Azhagi's Unicode Editor and check the box 'Use SAT Mode'. For complete operating details, please see http://azhagi.com/sath.html.
