What should my recipients do if they see my Tamil emails as junk characters?

Read this first and then come back here, if need be.

Your recipients simply have to copy those junk characters on to Ms-Word and apply SaiIndra font to see them in Tamil easily. If they find this a tedious thing to do and want to see them in their email client itself, then they shall try the following:

In  browser (IE or Firefox or netscape) window,
Click on ‘View’ ->  ‘Encoding’ -> ‘Western European (Windows)’
[ If this does not work, try ‘Western European (ISO)’ or ‘User Defined’ ]
Click on ‘Tools’ -> ‘Options’ -> ‘Read’ -> ‘Fonts’.
For  ‘Proportional Font’, choose SaiIndira.
For ‘Encoding’, choose ‘Western European (Windows)’.
Click on ‘Set as Default’ -> ‘OK’ -> ‘OK’.

Note : Its better if "your" settings are as follows in Outlook Express (if you use the same)
Click on ‘Tools ->  Options -> Send -> International Settings’.
For ‘Default encoding’, choose ‘Western European (Windows)’. Click ‘OK’.
Under ‘Mail Sending Format’, choose ‘HTML’.
