Azhagi's features in Tscii (Non-Unicode)
As far as Tscii Tamil web-pages are concerned (as the one you see by clicking the link above),
- Internet Explorer:
The content will be visible in Tamil straightaway in ALL Windows operating systems (Win98/ME, Win2K/XP etc.) without the visitor having to download any Tamil font. This is possible because of our web-page employing dynamic font technology.
- Firefox and kind:
As far as we know, these browsers nowadays do not support dynamic font technology at all (whether it is in .eot or .pfr form). Hence, the content will be visible in Tamil straightaway in visitor's system only if there is atleast one Tamil font of Tscii encoding already installed in visitor's system, by himself or through any other means (say by installing a software like Azhagi). Firefox does provide a free plugin to view webpages in Tscii Tamil straightaway, without the need of any font in user's system. If the visitor had already installed such a plugin, then it does the needful.
- Free Tscii Tamil Fonts
